Made a pretty intense paddle. Ouch!

I do leather work on occasion, maybe you've noticed some of my stuff I posted in the past.

I recently got a vacuum chamber to stabilize wood (resin infuse), so I made a nice walnut handle for a paddle. I got a couple interesting stamps to add texture to leather, so I tried dragonscale.

And holy shit! The dragonscale has sort of a raised center, and the pattern creates an edge. It stings intensely! I've made paddles in the past, but none like this, with this sharpness. The stabilized wood is pretty cool too. I'm trying to blend some crafts and skills to make more interesting (and apparently more painful) stuff. I'd say this one worked.
