For everyone that has absolutely no clue what im talking about, I mean, Text based Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games. I ran into them around six years ago and they have since sewn some of my best scenarios into my mind. A game called TEC, The eternal city, was the one i got hooked on. It was just like reading a story, but one that kept changing. You could interact with pretty much anything in the game, which made for some spectacular bondage games. In the game, i was an artist that took ladies back to his room and tied them up and 'drew' their portrait. Since it was all text based, you had to write a story to help the reader visualize the picture you 'drew'. The game has since gone downhill and I left about a year ago. But ive still got those 'drawings'. I was wondering if anyone else shared this kind of experience on the web in a game or elsewhere.J.M.38702.2278240741

Back in the old days before the internet, I ran a multi line bbs that included a m.u.d. I wrote. It wasn't a kinky game, but it was open to that and some did go on. Seems like several life times ago, Whole racks of modems, two file servers to host only 40 gigs of files, a server for games and stacks of computers for nodes and a few for testing and programming. All the over night work on the hardware and software, then an escape to the games and fetish stuff to clear the head or more likely to cloud it an a different way :)

I never really cared for text based games, but the one you describe J.M. certianlly sounds interesting!

I can't say anything about text based MMO's. But as for the Computer Game style of MMORPG's (e.g. Star Wars Galaxies [SWG], Everquest [EQ], Everquest 2 [EQ2], World of Warcraft [WoW]  and etc) there is a definate BDSM and D/s subculture. Heck at one time in SWG on one server there was a Guild named <BDSM> The guy that started it was a real life 24/7 Master. And I've run into several people thats in the BDSM Lifestyle over the past 2 1/2 years that I've played SWG. And I'll have to say most all that I've met over the past couple of years have been great people. Another thing if you ever see the Game Deus Ex, in a couple segments of the game there are "Ads" for a BDSM Club, the only bad part was you could never go into it.  But it still was interesting to see non the less.

The one advantage of text based MUDs and MUCKs etc. is that you can type anything and have anything happen. But people have gotten so far away from the written word now (as seen by their typing skills) that they depend on graphical games, which are limited to the items the graphics designers have created and the animations and actions the programmers have coded.
The one advantage of text based MUDs and MUCKs etc. is that you can type anything and have anything happen.
True in most aspects, but the people who are in the lifestyle that I've met in  (SWG), they tend to be more mature and well educated. And while you do have some people who engage in whats referred as leet speak, in most if not all social type situations the leet speak is frowned upon.  But one person I ran into who did have some very bad spelling, come to find out he was still learning english as his 3rd or 4th language. So sometimes you have to get a look at who is "behind the screen" so to speak to get a better understanding of the person. But in the future I suspect the MMORPG will evolve to the point where just about anything is possible, including putting someones "toon" or having their "toon" put into bonadage situations. While not as satisfing as real bondage would be, it still would provide for other possibilities.
What was the name of your BBS?
The Main Frame or sometimes the Main Frame Graphics bbs, depending on my mood. Mostly I used just 'Main Frame', since I was also doing graphics and animation.
One of that size, especially in the early 90s, would be something I would remember.
It didn't get that large until some where around 1996 or 1997. I shut it down in early 1998. It first went 24/7 around 1989 or 1990, with only 80 or 100 megs and a mess of a network

There are a number of public domain multi user text games out there that would give you a good starting point. Converting over one of the multi player shoot um up graphics games to an adult one might also be an option.

I have some some stuff with flash in the past, I just am not that goodwith graphics and animation.  I will have to keep it in mind forone of those back-burner projects .
