RE: Welcoming Ideas
I had this started in my intro post, but I doubt many have seen it. My partner and I are in the process of setting up our own little bondage site, which will have pics of your's truly. I'm a lithe 26 yr old woman who's still flexible after years of being a hockey goalie (though the knees are starting to creak) who enjoys being well-restrained. We haven't much in the way of equipment, but rope and pallet wrap are readily available and we're adding to our toy chest when we can. *Glances sadly at her bank account*So, suggestions are welcome. If we like the idea we'll give it a go and will happily give you credit for your dirty little creation. There, hopefully the floodgates of imagination shall be opened.Galinda
RE: Welcoming Ideas
Welcome Galinda! If your toy chest is rather empty for now, perhaps for a start lean the site more toward "do it yourself" or "make do" with items easily obtained anywhere. If you add a few rolls of tape to your pallet wrap and rope that would be a nice start!

Anything with full body duct tape wrapping would be most appreciated! Perhaps you can be wrapped up, then have rope tied around your ankles and pulled around the house.

RE: Welcoming Ideas
We do have tape as well, and considering I like how tape feels it's odd that I forgot to mention it. We do have a few other items (hood, ball gag, 2 sets of cuffs, a costume straightjacket that we've sewn a few straps onto to make it a little more real) so there are a couple of options there.DR, I promise you that I shall be encased in tape, any particular colour you'd like to see? But as for being pulled around the house - picture small one bedroom apartment and sharply cornered Ikea furniture! I get enough bruises from the rest of my life and though I love my partner, she's a bit of a clutz. So that will have to wait until the first house is bought!

I don't really mind any colors, though blue would be nice. Maybe instead of being carried around, maybe the rope can be tiedaround the ankles, then tied to the bedpost. I just like seeingmummies wrapped up and tied to things.Or perhaps you can be wrapped up in tape, but have your arms loose (butwrapped up at the same time). Then, have your wrapped arms behandcuffed, then attached to a bedpost. Or lie on your stomach, have the wrapped arms cuffed behind the back, and have rope tied aroundthe ankles and to a bedpostDarkraptor138664.4925

RE: Welcoming Ideas
I remember years back when I only barely made enough to keep myapartment and generic branded food in my cupboard. I rememberlooking at the hoods, gags, and other toys and knew it would be a whilebefore I could afford any of them.I will have to take some pictures and post them, but here are some ideas to get you started: Homemade Gag - Lookaround a department store in the toys area and find a large rubberball. In the pets area, get a buckling dog collar. Cut theball in half with a this saw, slice away some of the inside for thestrap, and glue them togeather. I like to wrap a littleelectrical tape (don't use duct, tastes nasty) around it to keep itsecure. It will get grungy from use, so you can take the tape offand reapply to clean it. If it is too small, you can also addtape to increase the size of it, which is the main reason I use thetape. I have made 4 or so gags this way, and my first attempt isstill my favorite gag. Heavy Straps - You canfind these in the tools area of department stores and are thick heavyrawhide belts. They are wide and big enough to fit around abody. Good for securing a mummy or for a makes a good armbinderin a flash. Spreader Bars - This oneis easy. Go to a crafts store or home improvement and buy a thickwooden dowell. If you can't find any, look for closet rods(basically same thing). Cut to desired length and screw theeyelet bolts in place. Two things. Use washers, this willkeep it secure and reliable longer. Pre-drill your holes or thewood will split. There are a bunch of other things I have built over the years that inmy opinion work better because they were customized for me. Iwon't lie and say they are as pretty, but I don't think pretty is whatyou are going for .

Gagged, you are a phenomenal source of information. I know we had another thread talking about Martha Stewart having a bondage show, but I think you could manage it much better. You could even have a study guide online and would be a sight more easier to navigate.*files away the above info for the next shopping trip*Galinda

RE: Welcoming Ideas
I would offer the following ideas for the do-it-yourselfer:Nylon dog collars from the pet store are about the right size to wrap twice around the average wrist. Run the end through the D-ring on the first wrap so the collar won't tighten up under tension. As a gag, I once used a hard rubber ball sold in the pet store as a dog toy. It wore like iron but tasted like s**t the first few times I used it. Maybe it tasted good to the dogs but I didn't like it much. Depending on your masochistic tendencies, this could be good or bad. What can I say, I kept using it.Craft stores carry leather straps for making belts, etc. You need only a few tools: exacto knife, leather punch (for making holes) and maybe an awl if you want to sew anything together. With a little practice, you can make leather equipment just as nice as the pros at a fraction of the price. Leather cuffs will be a bit more expensive than dog collars but the look and feel are well worth the small extra cost and extra work.Rope and chain can be purchased at your local hardware store for a fraction what you'll pay at a bondage store. A cartoon I saw recently showed the front of a large hardware store. A voice inside was saying "I need 20 feet of chain, 12 screw links, 50 feet of rope and 5 snap hooks." Another balloon answered "Bondage, aisle 6." Some truth to that.Keep your eyes open. You'll see all sorts of possibilities if you just "think kink" while shopping.

Dungeonmouse,Believe me, my mind goes five fathoms into the gutter every time I go into the local Canadian Tire store. We do have a set of leather cuffs in our toybox, which we were happy to spend the money on. In fact, as a recommendation, if one is looking for good sex toys (bondage and otherwise) go with http://www.womynsware.com/They have okay pricing, relatively good selection, and an exceptionally friendly and knowledgable staff.Galinda
RE: Welcoming Ideas
Good luck with the website and post the link so we can all have a look.As for bondage items, have a look around your home. Do you have nylons, they are great for binding limbs. You could also use them to mummify you. Put both legs into one and then pull the other leg of the tights over your head. Repeat this process for more layers.Scarves make an excellent bondage item, silk ones are soft on the skin but can be a bugger to untie! Bandages will also do for bondage and mummification. Cling film/saran wrap will both enclose and bind, you can make a gag or a hood, it's very versatile. Include tape and you'll have a wonderful time trying to break free.GU has already mentioned using dowel to make spreaders, you could also use broom handles without the head of course. (unless you want your victim to clean as they struggle around the home!)Cheap belts bought from thrift stores, second hand stores usually sell them cheaply. Bed sheets can enwrap you in their grasp, quilt covers can be used as bags to contain the tied victim. Pillow covers can enclosed their heads.

I found a whole rack of great looking black leather grometted belts that can tighten all the way at Target and WalMart, less than $5.00 each!
RE: Welcoming Ideas
Those Walmart & Target belts sound great!! A lot of the "toy" suppliers seem to overlook regular ol' black leather straps!

RE: Welcoming Ideas
This does lean more towards our fetish side, but my wife and I love thefact that everyday items of rubber and leather clothing turn us on asstrongly as they do, and we have used standard wardrobe piecesfor rather extreme bondage scearios. A rubber or leather jacket, raincoat, or trenchcoat worn backwards, completely and tightlyclosed up by your partner can itself be overwhelming, add a roll or twoof saran wrap or cling film, and you have a nice kinky set of pajamas.I have even called room service in a major NY hotel for a couple of rolls, (was wrapping textile samples for shipment)and left my wife struggling in a fantastic hogtie... leatherslacks, boots, her leather jacket worn backwards, both of ourrubber slicker jackets over that, hers inside out and backwards, mineon top backwards, and the hoods, well, they muffled her ecstatic screams.Likewise, just using a short leather or rubber jacket worn backwards byitself, with the wrists bound to her sides using the waist belt cantremendous fun for an evening. As she has put it many times, you neverlook in your hall closet the same way. Good luck with your site!

Hello Galinda from Virigina. First, I want to say I do Canada, all of Canada. I've been watching this thread with interest from a do it yourselfer perspective. The thought of how take ordinary hardware store items and use them for nice, decandent use is very interesting.

[/quote]So I'm NOT the only one who loves trenchcoats with belts, especially if they have straps around the wrists, too? They're like -- bondagewear you can wear outdoors and nobody seems the wiser! (And of course, they're fun INSIDE as well!) stephanie_cd
