the laptop, depending on how much, or how little, she knows about computers you have a few options here.a fairly "extreme" solution, but it should be very safe, is to use truecrypt to setup a hidden encrypted area on the hard drive:http://www.truecrypt.org/faq.phpI have *not* used this program personally, but it comes well recommended.  There is a system where you can have a volume inside a volume, which makes the second inner volume totally undetectable, unless you know it is there AND know the password.  So you can securely hide files that way.NOTE you need to remember both passwords, and also make sure you back up anything important, in case the hard drive dies.  Not sure how to have a private backup though.A very simple solution is hidden folders (a simple setting in windows), but if anyone else knows anything about computers these can be very easy to find, especially if they are looking for hidden things.

As for the equipment you are after....shop around...if you don't want to step foot in real shops they are a million websites that sell all sorts. The best thing to do is spend a while looking and find out just what you want.
I personally use ebay a lot as I find specialist web sites stupidly expensive. And I have a nice little collection going....not as much as some people I've seen on here but it's good enough for me.

Have you considered pegs or bag closers?  There are various types of pegs, and peg shaped "bag closers" of various strengths easily available in local shops in England.Plus these sort of things are quite innocent.

(I'm referring in the text to a picture I'd like to insert in this message, but permission was denied! Try it again later..)The ones from the clothes hanger, could be a bad idea. Tried to use them myself, to get them of the rod you simply have to hack of a piece of the rod with an hacksaw. But: with the ones I used, the rod was an integral part of the clamps! After sliding them of, I was left with 2 separate parts and a spring..The Bag Closers suggestion is a better one. Got myself some stainless steel ones a few years ago, very nice to use. The  good old clothespins are still very usable too, althoug to use them for nipples, I had to cut off part of the rounded tips. But, because it's wood, it's easy to cut and sand a bit afterwards.The electronic parts shop are a good source too. All kinds of clamps are sold there, from very small, but still with a heavy bite, to large ones. They also sell shrinking tube, by sliding a piece of that over the teeth, and heating it a bit, you'll end up with rubberized tips. Like the one at the right, attached to a dog-chain from the pets supplies shop..And don't forget stuff from the tools section. The yellow one is originally intended to keep glued parts together..Pervertables are really everywhere, when you keep an open mind!Peter Sub.

[/quote]  Probably a wire cutter, assuming it's not a hardened steel rod on the hanger you are trying to cut. you would want to then sand or file down the ruff edges, after vutting the pieces off. They also do make an interesting toy while they are still on the hanger....

Leave the rod in, cut off the ends with wire cutters, and place the little plastic caps on the ends.  Works great

Get the "pants" hanging rod where the clips move from side to side to adjust to the width of the pants. Then simply cut or remove the rod and the clips will slide off the end.

I should've explained...it's a plastic hanger. It's all connected as one unit that doesn't move.

Then you have to use a very sharp knife or a hack saw to cut right next to each clip on both sides 4 cuts in all and then use a little medium sand paper to smooth the cut.

If you heat the knife up before cutting, it should go through the plastic pretty easily.  However it will smell bad and you probably dont want to do this in the house.  A cigarette lighter is enough to heat a knife to cut the hard plastic.

here's a solution to the computer prob. if you can spare about &20-$50 bucks get a U3 thumb drive you can run all kinds of programs fromm them including internet browsers there is even a special browser just for porn if your into that sorta thing you can store all your files and your pics and what not on the drive and it is very secure as far as passwords and the such i have three kids that use my computer so it works for me this way they wont accidently run into any of my files or pics let me know if this is any help to you.

have a convenient hook you can tie to
the clothes rod, or your toe, or ...

I have a solution to the mom looking at your files problem, I had the same one.  Make a folder in your documents folder to contain the files you want to keep private.  Right click on the folder and select "PROPERTIES", on the properties menu you can click on the "HIDDEN" box to hide the folder. When you want to access the folder just type the name of it in the search box at the top of the window. *hint - name the folder something off the wall, a word or phrase that your mom would never think to search for. I named my folder "The Big Lebowski". Good Luck

I realize this thread is dead, (sorry for the rhyme- to do it should be a crime) but I feel that this idea is genius enough I must post it somewhere. It's an idea on how to make a ring gag with 100% innocent materials. It's not merely an idea, as I have put it into use myself. If your shower curtain is held up by small rings, you may be able to use these with a belt and make a ring gag. They are frequently about 2" around, some larger, some smaller. I am unable to post a picture, so I will try to describe as well as possible. I prefer double-d-ring belts, but normal ones might work as well. Take your belt and lay it out flat. Set the shower curtain ring in the middle of it. Pick up the belt through the ring and put the belt around your head and the ring in your mouth- Then fasten the belt behind your head- The belt will be doubled up. You can easily tighten it and you can fasten it at whatever point you like, and when you're done you can put the curtain ring back on the rond and the belt in your closet.
