RE: Behind back upper arm restraint

I was doing some selfbondage this past weekend and decided to try and do my arms the best I could. Usually I do my wrists with a length of rope coiled with a zip tie. I have tried doing my upper arms with rope many times but was never satisfied with the results. I have a pair of cuffs that are held on by velcro, not sure of the material, neoprene or something like that, simular to the brand Sportscuffs. They have a d-ring attached to them. I rigged up a ring devise and attached one end to one cuff, and the rope that goes thru the rings to the other. I put the cuffs on with the rope behind the back, pulled the rope to tighten it, and found myself with my arms bound tightly behind my back. For the first time I can now tie my arms properly to create that feeling of helplessness. For those of you who don't know about the rind devise here is a link.http://fetish.pornparks.com/solobound/misc.html

Well done. You obviously got out of it too, how easy was that?

Intriguing, but I'm also wondering how you got out. Did your arms become numb? That seems to happen if there is cordage near one's elbows but maybe your connected velcroed cuffs method would reduce that problem.

Getting out was not to bad since I had a knife with a fairly long blade. I tried reaching it with a pair of EMT shears that I used to cut the zip tie on the wrist coils, but it was tough to reach so I went to the backup. As far as my arms going numb the cuffs helped to spread out the pressure. The pressure was to the more to the side/outside of the arm not the crease where the major blood vessels are.Now remember all, if you try this please be safe and have a backup release.

Another thing you can do is affix a leather strap around each arm above the elbow- not too tight. Have a rope attached to a harness in the centre of your back, or even to the back of your collar, with both ends hanging down. Reach behind, & thread the ends down through the straps, (or through the D rings on the straps). If you run the ends back & forth through the collars a couple of times, then pull on the ends, you can easily get your elbows close together. Tie the ends off in a knot between your elbows, & you have an effective elbow tie. If you're flexible, you can reach around & tie the ends in front of your waist. Oh what a feeling...(Not that I'd ever do such a thing!)tojo

That sounds like it might work Tojo, but with the ring devise once you pull that rope the only way out is cutting it. Now that is a great feeling

Ah, but when you're elbows are together, & there's a knot between them, you're still well & truly stuck! You can sometimes reach up & unbuckle the collars, but usually it's a knife job. I have tried the ring idea though & found it's perfect for tightening a hogtie. There's nothing like a front view of a woman with her elbows tied tightly together.....I'm always surprised at people who can't tie themselves up effectively. Personally, I've usually found getting free to be the hard part- even with a knife or the keys! tojo

Can't remember where I saw it, but one SB site had it's owner describe a way of tying his elbow together behind him with a set of leather cuffs, having the cuffs D rings tied together with a loop of rope with at steel ring tired in it, and a length of chain on the ring. Then he would pull on the chain, which would draw the cuffs together, and when he got it to where he wanted them, lock the chain to his bondage belt or to his crotch chain (he made a locking ring harness as I recall). Then he would get his hands tired and wait for his release method to drop the keys for his hands and elbows.

It looked to be a very reliable and fairly simple way of getting youe elbows tied together, I'll look araound and see if I can find it, I sometimes save stuff like that on my HD for future reference, but lose it easily (I'm so disorganized at times)
