Have a silly question about this hood. As all male rubberists know, zippers sometimes catch on........things. Is there any sort of safety liner on those eye zips?

No.  But as you pull the zipper closed it also pulls it away from the lovely Lady's eyelashes...besides as long as she is suffering and not me, than all is well !!!
