She examined my missus and said I was doing a good job of looking after her. I told her she calls me nurse Rached. (One flew over etc) She laughed.
I explained that I try to make the other half laugh and while I have my sense of humour, I am not worried. (I have only lost it 3 times in my life). Once when I got into trouble at work, once when I was fighting the tax man and had that suicide and when she first came home.
She asked me how I cope and keep my chin up. I didn't say I did it all the time but she saw my uniform hanging on the line and I explained how I had it left over from my bed race days and put it on just to give the wife a laugh. Matron loved the idea and fell abut laughing. She doesn't have to, but she is coming back Wednesday week to see us.
I wonder if she will phone ahead and tell me she wants to inspect me.....
