Restraining Hands with Zipties?.

Say you had a Bunch of heavy duty Zipties 13mm width, 580mm in length.

How would you Restrain your Subs hands behind their back?.

One Zip Tie secured around both wrists placed horizontally?.

One Zip Tie simply secured around the Wrists?.

Two Zipties Inter-locked like a pair of Handcuffs?.

If you must use zip ties keep it simple and have a pair of EMT Shears handy for quick release. Therefore around wrists would be best, avoid using around single limbs, to easy to cause nerve damage, and if over tightened (in the heat of the moment) very difficult to cut off!

I just posted a reply on BoundAnna, see here.

But one thing: Side (diagonal) cutters are the weapon of choice for cable ties. Don't use scissors or EMTs; the ties will tend to separate the blades. And never, ever, use a knife to remove a cable tie, especially from a person.

And have a couple of pairs in different sizes. The smaller ones will be easier to get between skin and tie but I've twice seen blades shear off on cheaper brands, once on a heavy wire and once on a cable tie, so have at least one spare and a larger pair on standby.

Or get the releasable type which have a small, usually fully or partially recessed, tang that lifts the ratchet (exact mechanisms vary). Depending on placement they're generally too fiddly for the captive to operate while bound even if they can reach it.

And like the previous poster says, don't even think of using a cutting blade of any sort to cut them - one or other participant will end up leaking.

When using zip ties, I found that using a piece of plastic tubing around the
zip tie saves a lot of cuts from the zip tie, and much more comfortable.
Also using a small wire side cutter is a safe way to cut the ties.
