Darby stile locks if used often the lock breaks then your out of luck . Every time screw the key in the lock if over tighten enough times the post breaks in the key and the lock snaps home . If that happens and your locked in them that is a "oh shit feeling " .
That's what she said oh shit with a laugh the key broke . I looked at her incredulously no way man and demanded proof . This isn't the first time "the key broke" scam she's pulled . Look showing me the key I could see the stud in the key . Pulling at them futilely your stuck like Chuck I'll come back later with a hacksaw leaving me to my chagrin . What a fun day that was. Well I disassembled the lock drilled the brass plug where the stud was attached a 1/4 x 20 bolt reassembled the lock and are as good as new but a different key
