Having recently trapped myself in a SB session, once I was free I started to run over how I had reacted to it.
When I first realised I had made a mistake and was trapped there was the sudden shock and disbelief. Then an irrational attempt to free myself (the rational part of my brain knew from the outset I would need help), this lasted about half an hour before I admitted defeat! The easiest source of release (neighbours) was quickly discarded as to embarrassing. Contacting a friend was the obvious solution I still hesitated before doing this, why did it take me nearly an hour to arrive at the obvious solution? Am I unusual in this sequence? Surely the logical reaction would have been 'Shit I'm in trouble!' I know 'I'll call a friend Chris.' !
My rescuer asked if I would be embarrassed if he told people we both knew what had happened and I said that was Okay, I just didn't want the neighbours knowing.
How do you react?
How do you react?

Re: How do you react?
Many years ago, I was playing around with my Poesy Strait Jacket.
Well I got in on alright, nice and snug but getting out was not as
easy as getting into it.
I did not want to cut it open, Thought I would hurt myself, I could not use the
phone, they where the dial type, before the push buttons.
I did manage to get to my basement work shop, and put a dowel rod into
my bench vice, and work on losing the straps of the jacket. Now this took over 4 hours.
2 of witch was getting that dowel in the vice.
Yes I was scared, I could have gone outside and hollered for help, but embarrassment
was high on my mind. After all, I still had to live here, and face my neighbors every day.
But I did get out, and never tried it alone again.

He has just come to your aid in a very personal and private situation *why ever* would he wish to disclose the information, whether or not you agreed, to others!? *Especially* people who knew you!?
I'd be looking for another friend.
Re: How do you react?
No, while my friend was asking if I was Okay I said that I hoped I had not embarrassed them. He said no, but as his partner had driven him over did it worry me that she knew. I said that I was quite comfortable with people knowing I was in to bondage but obviously didn't want it shouted from the roof tops. As my friend found the incident amusing I said he could relate the incident if he wished!
As it happens a mutual friend was burgled recently and while she was asleep upstairs they stole her car keys and car. Quite naturally this has led to her feeling a bit down. Hearing about my 'incident' has helped to cheer her up a bit.

Letting the driver know why she had to make the trip makes sense.
Letting anyone else who was not directly involved know does NOT make so much sense.

Yes, i see what you mean, but I have known both of them a long time. My friends partner had been given a full description of what he had found as they thought at first I might been subject to a home invasion. As our mutual friend was still shaken from a recent burglary they told the story to make her laugh.
