Do Friends,Family,CoWorkers know your into Bondage

Unread post by wildcard »

I was wondering if anyone knows that you are into Bondage. How did they find out? Do you share with them?

Before the movie 50 Shades of Grey came out, I was at a bar with a female coworker/friend (Vanilla). A lady down the other end of the bar was reading the book. Some how the topic of handcuffs with sex came up and she asked me if I ever did that? Err no way I replied. I told her my wife was reading the book and liked it. My friend said watch out she my come home with a pair of handcuffs and beat me. We joked about the freaks that are into that stuff.

I will add on to my experience, but please feel free to add your own.

Yes, I have a couple of friends that know about my liking for bondage. :) I got stuck in handcuffs and a gag and had to text for help.
One of them acts as my sahety back up and if they are going to pass by my place after work will arrange to release me from escape proof selfbondage. :D

At present, only my girlfriend knows that I am into bondage. However, a decade ago, a younger woman from my work wound up with no place to stay due to to a fire in her apartment complex. I let her stay at my place because I was going out of town. The evening that I returned, she told me that she had something she wanted to ask me about. Yes, I completely forgot that all my stuff was in the guest room closet.

She asked me if I would be willing to play with her. Oh hell yes. She jacked me off and put the CB-6000 on me. It stayed on me for 10 days, even though it was uncomfortable a lot. She would not remove it. Every night during those 10 days, when I got home she made me get dressed, then would restrain me in some position. She would leave me in position for hours, then punish me, before locking me up somewhere to sleep. The closet, the bathroom, the backyard shed, the garage. She picked somewhere different every night.

Then she told me that she was moving back to Iowa and everything ended. I never got anything. Not a taste, not a fuck, nothing.

Yes. Sometimes my spouse talks too much to co-workers, friends, and family. Their are a few inside jokes now that go around.

Also one day a coworker was over to visit with their family and their little one discovered a toy that they shouldn't have. the parents just laughed and winked when they grabbed it back from them quickly.

My Female coworker and I go to the bar for a drink a few times a year. Christmas,Birthdays and other reasons. Ever since she asked me if I've been handcuffed I thought maybe I might share my kink with her. I also didn't want her to think I was a total freak. One time at the bar I had a nice tasteful picture woman handcuffed on my phone,as she was looking through my summer time picture she scrolled on it and asked" what was that?" I explained my wife and I played around once or twice with handcuffs for some fun. She thought it was funny after I told her it was my wife's idea.

As time has gone on I have shared stories about bondage with my coworker. I tend to keep them on the beginner level if that makes any sense. She asked why I would let anyone handcuffed me to the bed while having sex. I made up a story that my wife enjoys the top and I would tell her I wanted the top. Being handcuffed down my wife had all the time she wanted. I explained the handcuffs were more tools than toys.

At the moment no and god I hope it stays that way lol.

My ex she use to say things and I got really embarrassed especially because it was normally after she had a glass of wine or two.
She never went into details thankfully but mentioning it was enough for people to poke fun at us, well me really because I would be most embarrassed. She tied me up more than I tied her up which I preferred but being teased about ‘oh it’s always the quiet ones’ and things like that was not my idea of fun.
I love love love being tied up and struggling it’s sooo much fun so being made fun of spoils things for me. I can only open up on the internet because no one knows me. I’m a shy person really it takes wine or the company of really good friends to bring me out of my shell now. My wild child days are behind me lol
Keep smiling and enjoy all that life has to offer :)

 Got a bunch of ex-girlfriends that know, and of course my lovely wife of 27 years.

I have one business friend which we sometimes talk about the bondage models we like but never have discussed what we do at home.

My family doesn't ask. That would be pretty weird.

I'm sure all my friends know, and I'd gladly discuss it with anyone with an open mind. It's not shameful or to be hidden, imo.

Everyone has their weird thing, I happen to think it's healthier to have it open.

While we were having a coffee break, out of the blue she says " you know what you are?" I said " what are you talking about?" she sat there for a moment with a puzzled look and blurted out loud "Your SUBMISSIVE I watched 50 shades last night" She was so proud of herself. I just started laughing.

I have virtually no vanilla friends; I was a pretty solitary person before getting involved with the kink community. So yes, most of my friends know what I'm into (and most of us have seen each other doing various kinky things)

Coworkers? Not really. I did come out to one coworker in a previous job after she kept asking and prodding about something semi-related (I don't know, maybe I'd let something suspicious slip without realizing?). It ended up fine.

Family... maybe? My dad caught on that I was surfing bondage porn on the computer when I was a teenager and had a guilt-ridden, shaming talk with me about it. I think he probably prefers to think that he scared me back onto the straight and narrow. (as if )

My wife recently went to her cousin’s bachelorette weekend and while the whole thing just seemed to focus on a dinner out, some games and drinks in a condo, I guess the conversation turned to riskier subjects, as I’m sure they do at these events. My wife was listening to the others talk and I guess through a joke, she let slip that we have a restraint system on our bed and that she enjoys nipple pain.

Really not that racy overall, but her cousins and friends were shocked. Seemed that none of them, all eight of them, could even imagine something like that. My wife had to also explain to them what anal beads are.

So, yes, I suppose my wife’s three cousins are aware that SOMETHING goes on in our bedroom that doesn’t fall under the “vanilla” category of activity. I don’t think anyone else does, though while helping us move, my sister discovered a box of my wife’s “fun clothes”. But that’s just general lingerie.

No one else knows anything.

I've known so many people who, after a few drinks, will admit to something funny

However, I've known very few people who will act on it. I would hate to live my life sexually repressed and not be able to explore my interests! So boring.

The other day I was talking in the hallway with a few of my coworkers about the hockey game. My coworker who calls me submissive came around the corner looking for me. She asked me if I read her Email last night, I said no it didn't. She just blurted out Were you tied up? I knew what she was talking about, but my other coworkers didn't think nothing about it.
I have talked about some bondage stuff with her and suddenly she thinks I have a bedroom and closet like on 50 Shades. It's actually funny how she relates my life to the movie.

Over the past few months my friend at work has been asking me questions about my S&M lifestyle. More or less she has been asking how was my weekend was, and if I was tied up? To my surprise I would say yep and she would want to know more details. Compared to years ago she actually knows gear terms. Before it was just handcuffs, now different leather cuffs, gags, hoods. Every now and then she would text me a photo of something related to bondage. I made a comment about costumes during comic con, suddenly she thinks my wife dresses me up and we do role playing. I did play along with her and told her I had super hero spandex outfits. But what is funny is her imagination is so expanded now. She knows my wife works from home and I mention we played "bad employee" and I had to be punished. Totally joking with her, but she really believes we role play and have a fully equipped closet.

It's actually a little relief being able to talk to somebody about my kink.

Can you not talk to your wife about it? Perhaps I am misunderstanding your posts, but it sounds like you and your wife do "play" somewhat, just not to the extent that you have given the impression of, to your coworker/friend.

Yes my wife and I play/talk all the time. My friend seemed to think we are just sex freaks in the beginning but now kind of understands. Her imagination runs wild with the help of the internet.

Okay, then I misunderstood. It was your comment about it being a relief to have someone to talk about, regarding your kink that threw me. ;) It does help. I know the feeling of not having anyone to talk to about bondage intimately, unfortunately.
