Do we see, hear or feel the bondage?

...there will also be someone who savors it or even smells it. We all have 5 senses (some believe that we have 6 but the truth is that some men are usually too obvious, that's all )). We perceive each experience of our lives with our senses, and we use them all at once. But apparently there is always one that prevails over the others. In my case, I think I enjoy the experience of ties from the touch, what I feel on my skin. The question now is, how do each of you believe that you perceive bondage in your life? Everything come from your eyes first? Is what you hear triggers their emotions? Or is it perhaps what you feel dominates the experience?

I'm having a hard time articulating this this morning(just woke up) but I will say,
for me, everything starts in my brain, not with my eyes. It's a subconscious thing.

Also of no help is that I don't have favorites, it's a "whatever the mood strikes me
in the moment" kind of deal.

The smell and feel of latex... a good written psychological mind fuck of a story...
trying to use my teeth to gnaw thru a pair of 120.00 leather wrist cuffs... the complete
and utter exhaustion from having to crawl, hogtied, over 50 feet to get to get the
key for release... an amazing hypnosis session, either being the kinky hypnotist orrr the
subject...

All of those are coequally yummy... and the variety, personally, tends to make it more so.

I guess my point is, it is almost always a multifaceted experience that I enjoy.

I use all of my senses but touch is the most prevalent as I think it is for most people. The feel of the rope biting into my skin, the feel of my muscles straining against the ropes, the soreness of my jaw from the ballgag, the feel of the tape coming off my lips when I'm done. Not to mention the oh so pleasurable inescapable vibrations.

Sight: I'm usually blindfolded but the lack of sight only forces me to use my imagination which heightens the experience. Otherwise, I'd be watching bondage porn while playing. There's also the glare of the lights when the blindfold is removed.
Hearing: When my wife plays with me, the sound of stilettos tapping on the hardwood floor is amazing. The taunts. The threats. As is the opening and closing of drawers when I'm bound and blindfolded, not knowing what fun add-on I'm getting.
Smell: The smell of duct tape, even when I'm not bound, puts me into that mindset. The smell of the leather of my wife's shoes.
Taste: The taste of my ballgag and saliva. I don't have much occasion to put rubber things into my mouth in my day to day life so I don't get triggered at random times.

...I'm agree with you. I also enjoy the experience with all my senses, but the most I enjoy in that moment is what I feel: the ropes on my skin or the caresses of my husband. That enhances all my other senses.

Up to now, apparently, the sense that drives all the bondage experience is touch. How about the other 4 senses?

It's a great question, but hard for me to answer. I'd say it's a combination of touch, hearing and sight for me.

I only use metal restraints - I love the feel of metal on my skin, the weight of it. I love the sound of chains rattling with every small movement. And I love the looks, the smooth, polished surface - when I walk around the apartment in a full set of restraints, I always stop when I walk past a mirror...

I'd probably have to give a slight edge to touch, but it's not fair that I can only pick one!

I voted sight, I like to look at my helpless prisoner (most times me in a mirror) struggling. Being Blindfolded increases my awareness of touch, sound and helplessness.

I don't like being blindfolded, maybe it is for this reason

I would say it depends very much on what else is happening. If I am being chained up and helpless to be "tortured" by my Jailer, then it is probably the struggle against the toys (touch?) that is most important. If my Jailer has chained me up to keep me in one place for a few hours, I probably won't be struggling against the chains for most of the time and it will be the sight or sound that is most important.

I vote sight because when I imagine myself all crossdressed, bound and gagged, this vision spark my needs of being in bondage.
