Completely New to this so where do I start?

Unread post by VirginSub »

24/M/ Sub btw
The loneliness of Quarantine has awakened a strong urge to dabble in bondage and I've tried some sites specifically for finding people near you who are into it but they all seem tethered to their circles and its really intimidating just being a nobody like how do you even initiate a conversation. I'm shy and really cautious about my actual face or information about me on my profiles, I understand you need that to build trust but I thought I was friendly enough. It's just awkward I guess to dive into the topic with a complete stranger without feeling like I'm being a creep or im boring them. I'm horrible at representing myself online like I'm more of a physical contact guy, text just doesn't convey tone, emphasis or sarcasm like it does in real life and I'm afraid I might come off a certain way on accident; its frustrating because I cant even just talk about it to get it out of my system.

We are, as a rule, a pretty welcoming group. Just dive into a conversation, and participate. There are a few good ones, here. Be welcome.

I re-read my reply, and realized how insensitive it seemed, especially the "dive in" comment. I did not mean it to be so, and I am sorry.

I, of all people, understand how hard it can be to talk about kink on a forum, let alone in person. I can promise you will find no judgement, here. The people on this forum are patient, accepting, and good people, and most of them really just want to help.

You urgently need a psychotherapist. Manic insecurity is a reason to seek help from a specialist.
