Re: Bondage You DISLIKE!

I'd also note that even if you did start to get loose, there's going to be someone there to re-tie you ... or just shoot you if you try to escape... My comment was because of YOUR comment. When these kinds of rope work are typically used, the next thing that happens is that the prisoner will get sh...

Re: Unusual Handcuffs

The problem with these press-lock cuffs is that the manufacturer doesn't seem to spend much time making sure the lock is aligned in any particular direction and that makes things difficult when working in low light conditions. Another funny thing is that many of the current sets are only held togeth...

Re: Bondage You DISLIKE!

First of all, I am not concerned with changing your view. I am just pointing out that you are coming to conclusions you really can't justify by examination pr personal knowledge. This is the kind of opinion I might have had at age 15 or 20 but since then, instead of hypothesizing, I simply go look f...

Re: Unusual Handcuffs

I have a matching set of wrist and ankle cuffs like that but with a connecting chain and even a matching collar.
They are pretty well made but the ankle cuffs are a touch small for walking around.

Re: Bondage You DISLIKE!

You are right. I was not being very kind. The problem is that I see you as attempting to sound authoritative when you simply don't have the experience to justify those claims. I buy quite a few different kinds of handcuffs because I want the opportunity to examine them closely. To me, the knowledge ...

Re: Bondage You DISLIKE!

I do not believe you are correct regarding Tower handcuffs. They and ones very much like them such as Mattatucks were about the only game in town for a very long time. Relatively speaking, they were not that expensive for the time if you look at contemporary catalogs. No they were not cheap, but eve...

Re: Bondage You DISLIKE!

But the basic fact about handcuffs - outside of expensive, specialised products - is that factors like reliability, manufacturing cost, portability, and ease of use are much higher priorities than pick prevention. . Maybe and maybe not. The old Tower handcuffs used fairly complicated internal lock ...

Re: Bondage You DISLIKE!

Yes, I have watched the movie about Pierrepoint. Tish and Tosh..... The details of British measured drop hangings made the news a few years back when there were some executions in Singapore. The executioner was a rather large Indian fellow named Singh. The back of the truck hangings don't really cou...

Re: Bondage You DISLIKE!

Sounds like you just stated what I did: the problem was a bad choice in materials rather than an unworkable technique. When I was young, my father was tying off fairly large tree branches before sawing them so that they would not come down in an uncontrolled fashion. He knew exactly what he was doin...

Re: Bondage You DISLIKE!

Some of these seem like pretty reasonable complaints and dislikes. Others seem more like poor quality equipment and technique. Cheap and poorly made handcuffs are not particularly good, but the well manufactured ones can be a part of a pretty reliable restraint system that is darn near impossible fo...

Nothing fancy, just a pair of strappy black 4 inch heels.

Re: What do you most often use?

Recently it has been a pair of Peerless 1912 handcuffs because I got them working correctly recently.
It is amazing how something that old works as well as it does especially compared to how badly frozen they were a week or so ago.

Re: Unusual Handcuffs

There are a lot of "shoulds" in just about every field. Until we start manufacturing things ourselves, we are at the mercy of those that do. I believe a lot of good stuff is out there, but on a very limited budget, you probably are not going to purchase any of them to experiment. If you de...

Re: Unusual Handcuffs

Oh, by the way, if you are going to use two pairs of hinged handcuffs in back, the set closer to your wrists has the keyholes facing away from your hands. The other set above it has the keyholes facing toward the first set. Think about how you would need to manipulate the cuffs in order just to get ...

Re: Unusual Handcuffs

The problem is that some handcuffs ARE difficult to get out of without assistance but you are depending on just having or not having the keys for security. An example is a pair or two of hinged handcuffs in back with the keyholes facing away from the hands. Those are very difficult to get out of wit...

Re: Unusual Handcuffs

Most handcuffs don't tend to have overly complicated or secure locks. The more complicated and secure ones tend to be more expensive but you are seriously budget limited. Even with the inexpensive modern stuff, you are going for the VERY inexpensive Chinese knockoffs rather than the authentic item. ...

Re: Unusual Handcuffs

If this is really for SELF Bondage, then why is it so important to have such great security in the handcuffs? Although I am in this area a lot, many times, it is discussing toys that my Jailer uses on me and for those scenes, just restricting access to the key seems to be good enough security. The i...

Re: Smith and Wesson

Last night, I spent perhaps an hour or so working on a pair of Peerless 1912 handcuffs that were quite frozen. A few raps with a plastic mallet, some "Liquid Wrench" dry lubricant and a little creative coaxing and it was fully working again. Everything was lined up. There was still some li...

Bondage You DISLIKE!

Are there any particular forms of bondage or equipment you do NOT like used on you?
I was thinking back on a post I saw from a woman who did not mind being tied up but really hated it when her toes were tied up. That was completely "unnecessary" as she put it.

Re: Unusual Handcuffs

This may seem counter intuitive, but sometimes a more used, finer cut or less sharp file might do better for a finish job. I almost never use sandpaper to do any finishing. The file does a better job and doesn't seem to do as much damage to any remaining plating. Sometimes when I am just trying to r...
