I ended up in leg irons and handcuffs for about an hour and a half this afternoon. It was hard to find a comfortable position resting on the leg irons on a wooden floor.

The photographs really don’t look as good as the toys do in real life though. I had to kill the resolution and fuzz them up using lossy JPEG compression to get them down to size restrictions. Haven’t actually used them for quite a while.

I have gone back and looked over a few pairs of S&W Model 90 handcuffs. While they do seem to be better made, the sizes between different pairs seems to be inconsistent. Ones in good condition are not easy to find anymore. The last ones were made around 50 years ago.

Thai prison ankle cuffs were just formed metal bars and were effectively permanent. They do not appear comfortable or aesthetic though.

ASP cuffs are not even close to all plastic but apparently they will tolerate a trip through autoclave for cleaning.
