Re: Chained in Leg Irons
The discomfort was not from the leg irons locked on my ankles. It was from the hinged handcuffs which didn't have a lot of room between the cuffs and the set of leg irons that attached the handcuffs to the table so I could not go anywhere. Thee was no way to lean back or relax without putting tension on something. The leg irons between the handcuffs was enouch so that I had to sit with a lot of space between my back and the chair I was trying to use.
Re: Chained in Leg Irons
Does you jailer knows that you were in discomfort? Because my wife - in this case - will use it as punishment in case of need (even adding some more discomfort)

Re: Chained in Leg Irons
The general rules my Jailer follows are:
1. Safety and no injuries. Light bruises are fine as are a few scratches or scrapes.
2. Security. The chains must be secure and impossible to escape.
3. Comfort is a fairly low priority as is normal for prisoners.

Re: Chained in Leg Irons
My Beautiful Jailer found me trying to take a nap in the late afternoon and came by to tell me She was going out to run an errand.
She told me that I should probably wear something nice and shiny while I was sleeping and I soon found I was wearing a pair of S&W leg irons on my ankles with a pair of Peerless leg irons attaching them to the bed frame.
They were not uncomfortable but just the thought of being surprised with being chained to the bed by my Beautiful Jailer had me awake by the time She left for the errand.
I had no way of measuring time, but spent the time until She got home examining my leg irons and finding no way I could free myself.
When She got home, I was detached from the bed, bu my Jailer insisted the leg irons had to stay locked on my feet with the chains dragging on the floor as I walked around.

Being tied to the bed while my wife goes out is normal for me.
I'd say that your jailer did a great job leaving you tied up after getting out of bed

My Jailer wasn’t getting out of bed. She had just finished working on something and noticed that I was about to take a nap.
As it turned out, I never did get a nap.

Re: Chained in Leg Irons
I have been stuck in a pair of leg irons for the last two hours or so.
My Jailer decided I needed to enjoy some time wearing jewelry. No, She did not leave me the keys.

May I ask how much the pair of leg irons weigh?Stahlketten wrote: ↑15 Sep 2024, 00:58 I have been stuck in a pair of leg irons for the last two hours or so.

Re: Chained in Leg Irons
They were just plain S&W 1900s so not particularly heavy. They are just modern police/ prison equipment.
She had them on me for about four hours.

I learned from Amazon that this is a relatively light one weighing 1.45 poundsStahlketten wrote: ↑15 Sep 2024, 17:12 They were just plain S&W 1900s so not particularly heavy. They are just modern police/ prison equipment.

Re: Chained in Leg Irons
That weight specification sounds about right. As stated earlier, there is nothing special about these but they are used quite often by American law enforcement.
This set is one without external rivets in the case which means that they were manufactured in 2011 or earlier.
As stated in my thread about S&W, just about all the modern stuff seems to be made of fairly soft steel which seems secure enough but just not very durable.

Have you tried heavier leg irons? It will be a different experience.Stahlketten wrote: ↑16 Sep 2024, 07:14 That weight specification sounds about right. As stated earlier, there is nothing special about these but they are used quite often by American law enforcement.

Re: Chained in Leg Irons
We have used many different kinds of leg irons and handcuffs. Towers are quite a bit heavier as are Dungeon Delights manufactured ones and various types made in China.
These S&Ws were used mainly because they were convenient and simple. This was not an elaborate or well planned session. The Chinese prison irons would have been more interesting but I would have had to get them out for my Jailer.

Re: Chained in Leg Irons
Yesterday, my Beautiful Jailer decided that I needed to spend some time in chains. She put a pair of handcuffs on my wrists and then a pair of leg irons on my ankles. Another pair of leg irons was wrapped around the bottom of a bed frame and then both of those cuffs were used to hold my handcuffs and leg irons together.
The result was me sitting on the floor with my hands and feet very closely attached to the bed frame. The only thing I could do was occasionally fall over to the side, finding that just as uncomfortable and then trying to sit back up again. Session lasted for just over 1.5 hours which was quite enough.
My Beautiful Jailer can be deliciously EVIL sometimes!

Re: Chained in Leg Irons
My Jailer decided this afternoon that I needed to spend some time in some jewelry. It had been a while since the last time. It wasn't anything fancy, just a pair of Peerless leg irons and a matching set of Peerless handcuffs. It would not have been hard to find a key to escape if I had found the need, but I stayed in them until she removed the handcuffs about 1.5 hours later. The leg irons stayed on while we had dinner

Re: Chained in Leg Irons
Yesterday, my Jailer wanted me in chains while She was out of the house on an errand.
She first suggested handcuffs with only one key but that would have interfered with what I was working on.
Instead, She put Chinese Prison Leg irons on me. Those are quite heavy and kept me pretty much immobile for the next hour until She returned. It was not a comfortable way to spend time because these leg irons are so thick that it is difficult to sit on the floor without them getting in the way.

My experience is that you can tie a rope in the middle of the chain and then pull the rope with your hands to reduce the weight on your ankles.Stahlketten wrote: ↑10 Mar 2025, 07:22 Yesterday, my Jailer wanted me in chains while She was out of the house on an errand.

Re: Chained in Leg Irons
Im mostly 24/7 restrained with collar, wrists, and ankle shackles. Used to be switched up between leather, clejuso, and darby style but now we are trying out a new style.
In the past month we finished huge (2 x bigger than Clejuso big) custom fit translucent blue (very cool looking) PETG equivalents with permanent printed chain connecting the pairs and been mostly wearing them 24/7 now. They are so much more comfortable, lighter, custom fit and massive width to avoid circulation, and a push locking cylinder built in for convenience. These are becoming both my day and night wear slowly. My owner loves them as I am easily and completely locked (without needing keys even) returning from outdoor activities within 15 secs.
Ironically though the printed chain makes quite a bit more noise than the chains on the clejuso and darby. I guess it is because they are 30% infilled and the links resonate a bit. Might have to iterate them again.
If anyone wants the STL's just message me.

Re: Chained in Leg Irons
The most uncomfortable part about these Chinese leg irons is not that they are heavy. I can tolerate that.
If you take a good look at the way the lock "cylinder" is installed, that section has edges facing inward toward the prisoner.
Those edges are what makes these leg irons uncomfortable. If you can't comfortably sit where you were working before, then what you were doing is effectively disrupted which is what I believe was my Jailer's intent.

Re: Chained in Leg Irons
Interesting. I'm not into torture 24/7 and am quite active inside the house and around the house so that wouldn't work for my tastes.
Might be fun scene though
